Kevin’s back on track

ST KEVINS SEAN MCDERMOTTS 1-11 1-4

ST KEVINS recovered from a slow start as they moved joint top of the Division 3 table.

The Philipstown side were missing the injured Cian Callan and Lee Crosbie, while Seanie Crosbie was only fit for the final ten minutes, and without that scoring threat they found it difficult to shake off the challenge of the McDermotts.

The Mountrush side were boosted by a goal inside three minutes when Kevin McMahon netted.

The Kevins gradually came into the game and with Patrick Clarke on song in front of the posts they took a 0-6 to 1-2 lead into the break.

Sean’s too were missing a number of regulars and had only one sub when the game commenced while further injuries scuppered any chance of an upset.

The Kevins took advantage by stretching their lead before a goal from Clarke settled the issue.
