NAOMH FIONNBARRA ST JOSEPHS 4-10 0-11

THE Finbarrs continued their winning ways with a convincing victory over the Joes at John Markey Park.

The Joes opened the scoring with an Alan McKenna point and on five minutes but they suffered a severe blow when they lost full back Shane McQuillan to a black card with William Woods converting the free to tie the scores.

Despite this, the Joes went 0-4 to 0-2 ahead with Craig Doherty and McKenna on target but the Barrs replied and went 1-4 to 0-4 in front with the help of a William Woods goal.

The Joes then lost Alan McKenna to injury and suffered another setback just before the break when Woods added a second goal to make it 2-5 to 0-4.

The Finbarrs finished the game as a contest in the first ten minutes of the second half when Conor Osborne pointed before a blocked clearance set up Eoghan Osborne for the third goal for the Finbarrs.

The hosts continued to dominate and when Jack Butterly found himself clear to strike a fourth goal, the Barrs were leading by 4-8 to 0-5.

The Joes rallied in the closing stages as Jack Mulligan, Oisn McGuinness and Alan Lynch were all on target but it was too late to deny the Finbarrs victory
