HUNTERSTOWN ROVERS ROCHE EMMETS 0-17 1-8

A STRONG second half display helped Hunterstown Rovers maintain their winning run.

After his injury-scare in the previous game, Ryan Burns was back in the Rovers starting line-up , kicking a total of nine points.

Glen Matthews got his team off the mark in the first minute while Conor Matthews and Brendan Lennon were also on target along with Burns in the opening half. However Roche Emmets kept themselves in touch with the only goal of the game from Cathal Byrne, cutting the gap to 0-7 to 1-3.

However, the Faughart side were unable to maintain that challenge in the second half as Hunterstown assumed control and eased to a comfortable victory.

Barry O’Hare led the response for Roche as he finished with six points, but it wasn’t enough to deny Hunterstown.
