GLEN EMMETS GLYDE RANGERS 2-21 3-10

GLEN Emmets found their scoring touch in some style as they recorded a vital win over Glyde Rangers in Tullyallen to boost their chances of survival.

The Emmets have been struggling of late but turned in their best display of the season to claim the win which moves them off the bottom and level with Glyde.

For the Tallanstown men it was a disappointing outcome on a night when they scored their highest tally of the season thus far, but still it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.

The visitors did get off to the best possible start as Dion Conlon found the net within seconds of the throw-in.

Brian Duffy added a second goal for Glyde but Glen Emmets found their rhythm and a goal from Ian Cusack had them leading by 1-9 to 2-4 at the break.

The Tullyallen men pressed home their advantage and with Ronan Grufferty, Andrew Mooney and Stephen Healy adding points along with a second goal from Mooney they went on to win comfortably.

Gareth Moran added a goal for Glyde but they were unable to match the power of the Emmets who claimed a deserved victory.
