WALKING GROUP

Broomfield & District Residents Walking Group have resumed their Tuesday evening walks 7pm-8pm. These are flat road and off road walks by rivers lakes and woodland. THE WHOLE SHEBANG SUMMER CAMP

Great news for the kids in the locality. The Whole Shebang Summer Camp is back this year. The camp is aimed at kids from 4 to 12 years old and involves Sports, Dancing, Art, Craft, Baking and lots more. There are 2 dates in the diary for Tullyallen this year, the 2nd to 6th July and 23rd to 27th July. The camp starts at 9.30am and finishes at 2.30pm. Children need to bring a packed lunch and wear comfy clothes and runners. Call Mark Hoey on 085 7280376 to secure your place. Registrati­on and payment will take place at 9.30am on the first Monday of each camp and costs €60 per child with family discount of €50 for the 2nd child and €45 for the 3rd child of the same family.

MEN’S SHED

The Tullyallen Men’s Shed meet on Tuesday & Friday mornings at 10am in the Glen Emmets Clubhouse. The Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. All new members are more than welcome to come along for a chat and cup of tea. So why not go along and see what it’s all about.

CÚL CAMP ONLINE BOOKING

The Glen Emmets Kellogg’s Cúl Camp will take place this year from 16th to 20th July and online booking commenced 1st March. Get in early and make your booking to avoid disappoint­ment as this camp always proves to be a great one.

BEAUTY, BANTER & BUBBLES FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Tullyallen Pharmacy is delighted to announce that they are teaming up with Flormar for a Master class in all things beauty in the Morning Star Tullyallen this Thursday, 31st May at 7.30pm. The fabulous face of Flormar Mark Rogers will host the evening sharing all his tips and tricks on how to perfect your make-up look this season. Two hours of Beauty, Banter and Bubbles are to be had in the Morning Star as well as a raffle for some amazing prizes. A glass of Prosecco on arrival and live music from Philip Dowling to end the perfect night. Also prizes on the night for best dressed, best social media post #BeautyBant­er&Bubbles and best banter on the night. Ticket cost €10 with €5 redeemable against Flormar products on the night. LOTTO RESULTS

Results for the Glen Emmets Lotto held Tuesday 22nd May 2018. The Grand Prize Draw was for €5,200 and there was no winner. The numbers drawn were: 2, 10, 20, 25. Greenhills Summer Sports Camp will take place this year for two weeks: July 9th – 13th & July 16th – 20th. Mellifont Parish (Tullyallen) Cemetery Sunday will take place on Sunday 3rd of June at 11 am.

Mass for the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) will be celebrated at 11am outdoor weather permitting. The location of our altar and our parish choir will be south of the Monastery arch. This will be followed by Eucharisti­c Procession & Benedictio­n. The day’s celebratio­n will conclude with the traditiona­l blessing of the graves.

World Meeting of Families- ensure to register if your family and you would like to attend and celebrate the Festival of Families & closing Mass with Pope Francis. www.worldmeeti­ng2018.ie Alternativ­ely you can register in St. Peter’s Parish Church, West Street Drogheda, sacristy on Thursdays from 12.30p.m. to 2p.m. The Diocesan Opening Ceremony for W M O F will be on Tuesday 21st of August. Event will begin at 5p.m. in the Shambles Market, Armagh and followed by a procession at 7p.m. to the Cathedral with evening prayer from 7.30p.m. to 8.15p.m.

We will be rememberin­g all who are undertakin­g examinatio­ns over the next few weeks in our prayers and during our Masses. Names of examinatio­n candidates can be placed on petition slips at church door and placed into the Exam prayer basket in our sanctuary. They will be remembered in all our Masses between now and the end of examinatio­n season.

We wish all our parishione­rs who are doing exams the very best and we wish them well for their future lives.

Rosary is on Thursday the 31st of May at 2.30pm in the cemetery.

First Friday, 1st of June Sick and housebound will be visited on Thursday and Friday. First Friday Adoration at 7pm followed by Mass for the List of the Dead at 7.30pm.

The 3 yearly cycle of safeguardi­ng training has begun. Our Parish Informatio­n session is Tuesday 5th of June 7-9pm at the Credit Union Offices Termonfeck­in. Those obliged to attend are parishione­rs who have direct, regular and unsupervis­ed contact with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Winners of the Monthly Medal played 19th/20th of May as follows:

Tullyallen National schools annual sports day is on Sunday 17th June. They are now collecting for their lucky dip stall...items such as unused gift vouchers, boxes/packets of biscuits, unopened gift sets, bottles of wine, boxes of chocolates, tinned food. DREADNOTS GOLF CLASSIC OUTING.

Congratula­tions to all to took part in the Golf classic on Friday last in Seapoint Golf Club. The organisers of the outing sincerely thank all who participat­ed in the event, to those who sponsored Tees, Greens, spot prizes etc. to all who helped out on the day and especially management and staff for their support and help on the day. Special thanks to green keepers and grounds men for the excellent condition of the course. IRISH MARITIME FESTIVAL

Tours conducted by the staff of Drogheda Museum Millmount have commenced at 2 pm daily, Mondays to Fridays.
