Dromin cycle for the hospice

THE 10th annual Dromin charity cycle in aid of the Ardee Hospice Homecare takes place on Saturday June 30th.

There will be a 60k run and a 22k family run, so everyone is catered for.

Over the last nine years, some €120,000 has been raised for the charity.

The riders leave from the Village Saloon at 10am and it will take in Dunleer, Annagassan, Kilsaran, Tallanstow­n, and back to Dromin.

There will be a stop as normal at Frank Lynch’s in Ardee.

Sponsorshi­p cards can be had from the Saloon or it’s a €20 donation on the day.

There is a bbq after the event in the pub.

Dip in the Nip

Sunday 9th of September will see local women strip off at a secret location along the Northeast coast in aid of the Oncology Unit based in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

This year NECRET who support the Unit in its fight against cancer and organise this annual event are looking forward to making it even bigger, better and of course as always lots of fun.

THE 40th annual pilgrimage to Lough Derg takes place from July 7, 8 and 9th.

Irish Motor Neurone Disease Associatio­n host a Cup of Tea day on Thursday June 21st at the Westcourt Hotel Drogheda from 10am until 2pm . All welcome to pop in.
