BUSINESS APP IS PROVING SUCCESS

-

THE Drogheda Business Community has set up a new business app with the aim of building closer links in the future.

Many of the businesses involved are around the town centre and each street has its own link.

Its initial aim is to keep businesses informed of events associated with the Fleadh, but it will continue after the music stops.

The likes of West St/Narrow West St/ Peter St/ Dyer St/ Trinity St/ Palace St/ Shop St and Laurence’s Street have all signed up.

The shopping centres are also getting involved.

Some of the issues being raised include thefts from shops, anti social behavior, pick pockets, as well as working with the council, gardai and being part of traffic management.

‘ The aim is that it creates overall better communication and awareness and allows businesses to find out relevant issues quickly,’ a spokesperson stated. ‘It also costs nothing.’

They are still open to signing on people and further details may be had from Joe Stafford in Staffords on Laurence’s Street
