Civil rights talk in town
IT’S 50 years since the civil rights rights marches in the North hit the world stage.
How far has the island of Ireland come in terms of vindicating the civil and human rights of all citizens, and how much more is left to do?
These issues - and more (including access to housing, decent work, quality education, women’s rights and LGBTI rights) will be discussed in a meeting hosted by Senator Ged Nash which will take place in Barlow House, West Gate, Drogheda on Saturday, 7th July, 2018 (11am to 1pm)
Speakers at the event include; Senator Ged Nash, Brendan Howlin TD, Leader of the Labour Party, Ethel Buckley, Deputy General Secretary, SIPTU, Colin McGrath, SDLP Member of the Legislative Assembly and Cllr. Deirdre Kingston, Labour’s Equality Spokesperson.
The event will be Chaired by Dominic Hannigan.
