SANDCASTLES AND SCULPTURE COMPETITION
The annual national sandcastle sculpture competition will take place on Sunday nexton Bettystown beach. This is the sixteenth anniversary of the event. There will be competitions for under- fives, under eights, under thirteens and family in the sand castle competition which begins at 2-30pm. There is also a sand sculpture competition for seniors which begins at 10.am, and the winner will get the prize of five hundred euro. Second prize is two hundred and fifty euro and third prize is one hundred euro. There is also a sculpture for juniors. Prizes for the junior sculpture winner is one hundred euros, the runner up will get thirty euro and third gets twenty euro. Judging commences at 4.pm.
FR. WILLIE MEMORIAL WALK
This walk, in remembrance of Fr. Willie, will be from the Boyne to the Nanny, starting at Riverside (The Flower yard) and finishing at the Nanny. It takes place on Sunday July 22nd at 2pm.
KILSHARVAN CEMETERY DEVOTIONS
The Kilsharvan cemetery devotions will take place on Friday, July 13th at 7.30pm
BELLEWSTOWN RACES
For the first time ever Bellewstown races will run from this Wednesday, July 4th to Saturday (inclusive) 7th July, running for four consecutive days.

KNIT ‘N’ KNATTER AT SUNFLOWER CAFE, RIVERSIDE, MORNINGTON
Come along and join us every Friday morning from 10 am to 12 pm for a morning of knitting or crocheting in the newly opened Sunflower Cafe at Riverside Home & Gift Shop, Mornington. MEATH LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
This pilgrimage will take place from Sept 12th to Sept 17th and will be led by Bishop Michael Smith. The fare is seven hundred and forty-nine euros (€749) for full board and travel taxes (single supplement one hundred and eighty euros. To book a place contact the presbytery at 0419827384. Sick and infirm pilgrims are able to travel with volunteer helpers as has been the case since 1948. This is also a special year in Lourdes as the apparitions of our lady to St Bernadette began on 11th of February 1848.
WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES
Application forms are available, in the star of the sea church Mornington, to fill in if one would like to attend the world meeting of families. One needs to fill in a registration form to get a ticket(s). Tickets are €40 each. This excludes the bus fare. Families can attend the Meath diocesan day on August 22nd (2018); also, the festival of families in Croke Park on August 25th and final Mass in the Phoenix Park on August 26th. Forms are available in the church. Tickets are subject to availability.
