Karate club’s big send-off for popular French family

-

A FRENCH family were the recipients of a very special Appreciation Award after the first class of the night at Drogheda School of Karate’s Special Olympics Club base last Tuesday.

The Esell-Mensahs, who have been training with the local club for the last three years, were due to depart for a short holiday in their home country the following day before moving to China for two years.

They have made many friends since coming to Drogheda and chief instructor Mr Philip Nulty presented the award to the family on behalf of the Management Committee and students, with refreshments served also.

Miriam and Rayan completed the second class, posed for photos, said their goodbyes to everyone and will be missed as they were a very popular family in the Drogheda school.
