Lir in Droichead

DARRAGH O HEILIGH has a wonderful talent and is very firmly a man with his home town at heart.

A gifted piper, he is the one who inspired the launch of Music at the Gate at Laurence’s Gate last year, in a bid to fire up Fleadh fever, long before this August.

He will form part of a unique celebration of music during the Fleadh.

Darragh, Bríd Dunne, Noreen McManus, and Ríoghnach Dunne are the four members of Lir who blend traditional Irish and elements of classical music, producing a rich and vibrant sound.

Lir perform on Monday 13th August, 2.00pm at Droichead Arts Centre. Tickets: €15
