St Peter’s choir go German!

-

ST. Peter’s Male Voice Choir are holding a concert in conjunction with Cantus Wirena Choir on the 22nd of September at 8pm, in St Peter’s Church, West Street, Drogheda.

All proceeds from the night are going towards Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.

The local service A cquried Brain Injury Ireland service “Lisrath” which is located on the Ballymakenny road will be benefitting from the proceeds.

The money raised from the event will go towards a wheelchair accessible vehicle for the residents to access the community.

Nobody ever thinks a brain injury will happen to them - yet it happens to 35 people in this country every day.

Every year in Ireland an estimated 13,000 people acquire a brain injury resulting in life-altering, dramatic change.

These injuries happen suddenly and are often traumatic, caused by road traffic accidents, stroke, assaults, falls, concussion and viral infections like meningitis.

Early access to personalised community rehabilitation services like Acquired Brain Injury Irelands is vital to ensure brain injury survivors can start to rebuild their functional, behavioural or cognitive skills at home after they leave hospital.

St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir and Musical Director Edward Holly are set to team up with the acclaimed Cantus Wirena choir from Frankfurt, Germany in what will be an unforgettable night of song with many wellloved pieces from the Irish and German musical genres.

Tickets cost € 20 and are available from the reception in the Westcourt Hotel, the sacristy in St. Peter’s Church and ABI (Ireland), Ballymakenny Road, at 041 98 38406.

Tickets can also be booked by credit card by calling 041 98 29124.
