John Spillane brings his style to Dundalk

-

THE Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol will welcome the acclaimed singer/songwriter John Spillane to its stage on Saturday 22nd September at 8.30pm.

John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, storyteller, poet, dreamer. His music transports the listener; his live performance captivates the audience. In a world filled with strife and upheaval, a time-out with John Spillane is enough to ease the load a bit on anyone lucky enough to bask in his light.

John Spillane will be supported on the night by Forkhill singer/songwriter Briege Murphy. Briege is a songwriter of contemporary folk with a love of Irish traditional songs. Her performances tell the story and inspiration behind her own songs and with a good dose of humour thrown in!

Such is the calibre of her song writing that Briege Murphy’s songs have been recorded by numerous artists including Frances Black, Niamh Parsons, Aoife Scott and Don Stiffe,

Due to the unusual setting of the venue as it is an old gaol, tickets are limited so early booking is advised.

For tickets, contact the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on 042 9328887, log onto www.orielcentre.ie.
