HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING

This year marks the 26th year of Irelands Biggest National Hospice Coffee Morning.

Bellewstow­n will host their Coffee Morning this Thursday 20th September in the Parish Hall beside Church from 9a.m. until 12noon. Every euro raised locally stays locally. Come along bring a friend and meet some new ones. There will be a raffle on the day anyone wishing to donate to Raffle please contact Linda-086-8450339. We look forward to seeing old friends and new everyone welcome.

BLOTTO

Blotto Draw Wednesday 12th September. The numbers drawn were 01-03-13-24-29-30. No winner. The €10 winners were Celine Rooney: Peter Reilly: Angela Reilly: Ollie Clinton: Laura Brannigan: Sarah White. There will be six numbers drawn again next week. Jackpot next Wednesday is €2,000. Reserve Jackpot €2,000.

CAR WASH

On Saturday 29th September a fund-raising car wash will take place at Howard’s yard Ongenstown, 10a.m. until 2p.m. €5 per car. Scoil Naomh Treasa pupils and staff are raising funds for buses during the year to bring them to sports events. Please give them your support.

Club competitio­ns continue each Sunday morning at 10a.m. The Captains (Marie Brennan & Richard Bennett) Prize competitio­n will take place on Saturday 3rd November with dinner that evening in Whytes of Stamullen. Entry sheet in the clubhouse.

PRESIDENTS PRIZE

There was a good turnout for the Presidents Prize last Saturday and the weather was kind. The winner of the Ladies Prize was Cathy Richardson, runner-up was Marie Black and Mon Byrne won the 18g. In the Gents Frank Andrews won the prize for the second year running. Leo Gibney was the runner up and Peter Reilly won the 18g. President Maureen Andrews presented the prizes and was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Gents Captain Dick Bennett.

MARGARET’S A WINNER

We congratula­te our member Margaret Whyte, not for pitch & putt, but for four wins at the Naul Agricultur­al & Garden Show last Sunday. Margaret won 1st for embroidery, 1st for Tapestry, 1st for Decoupage and 1st for crochet. She also received the overall Kitty & Paddy Clarke Memorial Cup for her efforts. CONCERT

Bellewstow­n Choir present a concert in the church on Friday 5th of October at 8pm called “I DREAMED A DREAM” Directed by choir master Peter Moore and performed by the junior and senior choirs, some special guests will make an appearance. There will be performanc­es of some of the great musical songs of our time & more. Tickets are €20, proceeds in aid of Bellewstow­n church.

Flower arranging classes in Bellewstow­n Parish Hall starting this Thursday 20th September at 8 p.m. with an introducto­ry night followed by 10 weeks of classes. Cost €100 or €95 paid on introducti­on night.
