-

FINDAFIVE.IE are delighted to be hosting a charity 5 a side tournament in aid of raising funds for the ABACAS Special School for children with Autism and My Canine Companion who provide assistance dogs for children with autism.

‘We are thrilled with the support from findafive.ie,’ said Jacinta Walsh from ABACAS. ‘ The tournament will be hosted in Drogheda Leisure Centre and we hope to get 16 teams involved from the local area. The teams already signed up are: The Black Bull, Lourdes Celtic, ABACAS Parents, findafive and Balkan FC. It will be a great afternoon of football and am sure there will be some keenly fought matches.’

The event is on Saturday November 17. The funds raised will go to support the Occupation Therapy and Physical Education programme in the ABACAS Special School and some will also be donated to My Canine Companion to provide an assistance dog for a child with autism from Drogheda.

findafive.ie is a new website where five-a-side teams all over the country can find other five-aside teams and arrange matches.

There will be a reception afterwards with a prize raffle draw in the Black Bull Inn from 6pm after the tournament finishes. The school would also like to thank the Black Bull Inn for sponsoring the food and this event.

To join the tournament with your team go to www.findafive.ie , Create your team on your page profile and select ‘ The Abacas Cup’ in the find tournament section. Sponsor cards will be sent to you when you join the tournament. All teams that enter will be required to pay a €200 entry fee. All proceeds going to both charities.
