Chance to win Dunleer house for just €100

NOW is your chance to win a house at Woodlands in Dunleer for just €100.

St Kevin’s GAA Club and St Kevin’s Community Centre in Philipstow­n have launched the scheme, the biggest fundraisin­g draw in the history of the GAA club.

Limited to a maximum of 6,500 tickets, they can be purchased online at www.winahouse.ie or at various shops/offices in the towns of Dunleer, Ardee, Drogheda and Dundalk. Alternativ­ely contact any committee member or email to info@ winahouse.ie for further informatio­n.

The alternativ­e to taking the house is a cash prize of €200,000 for the lucky winner.

Other Prizes are a €3,000 Make-over from TC Mathews Carpets Dunleer, a €2,000 Trip to New York for two and also a €1,500 Belling Cooker.

The draw takes place on June 1, 2019 in Philipstow­n.

Albion camp

Albion Rovers host their annual Halloween Soccer Camp Tuesday - Thursday 30th October - 1st November, 10am-1pm daily, places just €25/ child if booked before 24th October & €30/child when booked after. Open to all boys/girls 5-14, not limited to Albion players.

Oba Nla concert

Oba Nla 2018 takes place at the TLT on Saturday October 27. The concert will feature Adeniyi Allen-Taylor and his Afrobeat orchestra. Tickets are €15 for adults and €10 for children. Ticket details from the TLT, 0419878560. The concert is from 5-8pm and this is the 10th year celebratio­n.

Halloween books

Drogheda library baby book club meeting on Wednesday October 24 at 10.30am. Lots of stories and songs and dress up for Halloween.

Ghost walk

The Old Drogheda Society’s Annual “Ghosts of Drogheda Walk” will take place this year on Friday October 26th, departing from Millmount at 7.15 pm.

The walk will focus on Drogheda’s bloody past and participan­ts will be introduced to some of the characters who fashioned the town’s history and hear stories of some of the happenigs over the years.

It is aimed at adults and children over 10 years of age.

The cost of the walk is €4 and tickets are on sale from Drogheda Tourist Office.

St Pio devotions

St Pio devotions will take place in St Marys church, Drogheda on Thursday 18th October, mass at 7.30pm followed by Eucharisti­c healing blessing with relic of St Pio. Rosary at 7.05pm. All are very welcome.
