Special mass in the Augustinian on November 11

ARMISTACE Day on Sunday next, November 11, will be marked at the 1.15pm mass in the Augustinian Church.

Victims of war will be remembered at the mass with Mayor of Drogheda, Frank Godfrey attending.

He is hoping that people will observe a minute’s silence just before 2pm on Sunday and is asking all the churches in Drogheda to ring their bells directly afterwards.

‘It is important that we remember all those people that perished in the Great War, especially the many local people who were involved,’ he stated.
