Online survey will identify Co Louth disability needs

A new disability group founded in the Drogheda area last is hoping to focus on particular needs of people in the region through an online survey.

Drogheda Disability Alliance Group is composed of people wi with a disability and the parents of people with a disability, wh who are aiming to address some of the issues people with a dis disability in County Louth specifical­ly experience.

It is undertakin­g a piece of research to identify the extent of the issues which people aged over 16 with a disability in Co County Louth encounter.

“We are really hoping to effect real change, and we are hoping ho the findings will help us to focus on the specific needs of people with disabiliti­es in Drogheda and mid-Louth” says a sspokesper­son for the group.

“We are looking to secure the future of children when they are becoming adults, and we hope when we see the needs, we can ca target the issues and that will dictate our work.”

The initiative is being funded through the Louth Leader Partnershi­p, Pa and the online survey needs to be completed by Friday Fri November 9th.

The findings will inform what work the Drogheda Disability Alliance All Group undertakes over the coming years and will be issued iss in booklet form.

The group would be grateful anyone interested in assisting would complete the online survey, which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
