THE owners of three Mace stores in Drogheda are hoping some of the success of Ireland and Lions out-half Johnny Sexton will rub off, as he is announced as their new brand ambassador.

Liga Dzene and Jewel Akber from MACE Wheaton Hall and MACE West Street, Drogheda, along with Gerard Markey, Gerry Markey and Raymond Prunty from MACE Castlebellingham, met the rugby legend recently to hear about a series of community initiative, including giving people the chance to win an exclusive training session with Johnny for their local school or rugby club.

For a chance to win the incredible prize of a training session, MACE wants you to go the Extra Smile and perform a random act of kindness in your local community and tell us them it. Entries are open until November 7th and you must have suitable facilities to host the rugby training session

“I am really looking forward to seeing the wide range of thoughtful and spontaneous acts performed by people in communities all around the country,” says the Leinster star.

“I am genuinely proud to be working with MACE in promoting this positive community initiative throughout every town and village in Ireland and am really looking forward to seeing the random acts of kindness performed in communities all around the country and am very proud to be associated with MACE for this initiative.”

MACE and Sexton have also teamed up on a new advertising and social media campaign, which will run nationwide, focusing on deli, bakery and fresh foods in store.
