Damage to the Seafield not very fair on a great club

- BY HUBERT MURPHY

IT was bitterly disappointing to see the damage done to the area at Seafield, used by Laytown United.

The great local club has made wonderful strides in the past number of years and are now one of the premier clubs in the region.

But they were dealt a blow last week when vandals struck, leaving the area close to the pitch and facilities in a real mess.

It was decided that a place that acts as a great community resource for so many should become an ideal place for a party and a bonfire to boot.

The club and its members deserve more respect than that.

Also, well done to the club on their hosting the Kube recently.
