Major Chinese deal done for WaterWipes
DROGHEDA firm Irish Breeze has signed a major deal with a Chinese firm that they hope will generate sales of €25m within five years for their WaterWipes product.
The deal was announced at the inaugural China International Import Exhibition (CIIE), the world’s largest trade exhibition. Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD led the six-day Enterprise Ireland trade mission to China, alongside Enterprise Ireland CEO Julie Sinnamon.
Irish Breeze will be linking up with JD.com, China’s largest ecommerce market and retailer hosting more than 20,000 international brands.
They are the industry’s leading provider of dermatologically friendly skincare wipes, WaterWipes.
WaterWipes are the world’s purest baby wipes. They contain 99.9% water and a drop of fruit extract so they are safe to use on delicate new born babies’ skin.
They presently retail in Ireland, United Kingdom (UK), United States of America (USA), Europe, Iceland, united Arab Emirates (UAE), Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
‘I wish to congratulate the McCloskey family and all the staff of Irish breeze on their hard work and enterprise. I hope that this announcement can strengthen their global footprint and increase their already strong workforce,’ Deputy Fergus O’Dowd stated. ‘Given the fact that Brexit is looming large, it is exceptionally important that Irish companies are also looking at new markets further afield and in particular the strongly emerging economies with huge potential in Asia.’
Glen Dimplex from Dunleer were also showcasing under the Irish Advantage banner.
