-

FOR one night only, local singer Seán Tester makes a stunning debut on the stage of the Barbican Centre, William St., Drogheda.

Seán is proud to present his brand-new solo concert “She’s The One” on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Known to many as a first tenor with St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir, Seán has also gained notoriety on foot of his many successful solo concerts in recent years in the Droichead Arts Centre: “This Is Me”, “Wonderful Life”, “Shape of My Heart” and “Glory of Love”.

On his new concert, Seán will be performing an eclectic mix of new songs spanning decades of music history from artists like Bryan Adams, A-ha, and Take That to contemporaries such as Gavin James, Bruno Mars and so many more.

Seán has the honour of being joined by the incredibly talented vocalist Claire Regan as his Special Guest for the evening. Claire, a recent graduate of BIMM Music College, has gone on to many musical successes and has performed in venues like Whelans, The Button Factory and The Olympia Theatre. Many in the north east will recognise Claire as the Presenter & producer of the weekly programme “Clár Smidiríní” each Sunday night on LMFM Radio. Claire has also had success in her position as Associate Producer with Virgin Media News.

Following on the success of his previous solo concerts, Seán will be performing with his amazing five-piece live band which arguably features some of the best musicians in the country. On drums will be Gerry Culloty, who has played with artists such as Bonnie Tyler and Albert Hammond and has featured regularly on RTÉ Television on programmes such as “The Ray D’Arcy Show”, “The Late Late Show” and “Saturday Night with Miriam”.

On electric bass and double bass for the concert is Paul Moore. Paul is the Head of Bass at BIMM Dublin Music College and is the first call Bassist for the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Electric Bassist for the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra. Paul can be seen regularly playing alongside Van Morrison and has played with other international artists such as The Chieftains, Katie Melua, and Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, but to name a few! Grammy nominated artist Jimmy Smyth joins the band on guitar, and has worked with the likes of Van Morrison, Chaka Khan and Mary Coughlan amongst many others.

On piano and keyboards is the inimitable Edward Holly, widely acclaimed as Musical Director of St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir, Drogheda and an artist who has performed with internationally renowned baritone Bryn Terfel and featured many times as piano soloist with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Also joining the band on saxophone is multi award-winning local artist Robert Finegan, who has recently represented Ireland at international level.
