JUDGES IMPRESSED WITH THE ARRAY OF TALENTED ARTISTS IN THE REGION

- By HUBERT MURPHY

THE 2019 Primary School Stars certainly brought out the stars on Sunday last at the TLT as the line up of auditions kept the judges on their toes throughout the day.

The top performers will now compete in quarter finals and semi-finals before the gala final in front of guest judge Jake Carter in March.

The day had everything - from singers to dancers, comedians to rappers and violinists.

And the Greatest Showman classics were heard more than once, with many of the young performers well capable of hitting the high notes!

The likes of Tullyallen, Termonfeckin, Ballymakenny, St Paul’s, St John’s, Callystown, Cartown, Duleek, Slane, Collon, Dillonstown, St Joseph’s CBS, Bellewstown, Slane, and otjhers were all involved.

The hundreds of performers included Marley Peig from St Paul’s who gave a faultless performance of ‘On My Own’ from Les Mes, a powerhouse singer with real potential. Gabriella Manuel was a high flying dancer from Presentation, Ballymakenny and Hannah Newman from St Paul’s is another gifted singer.

Donald Trump got the treatment from eight-year-old comedian Jamie Reilly from Termonfeckin. Joy Chucks and Favour Chucks were class acts as was Miracle Sokan (Kate Bush style) from Callystown.

Gwenyth Duff from Termonfeckin NS is another young lady with a big future, as are Ciara Conlon, Emily Conlon and Daria McKenna.
