Super Greyhound sail off with significant Mariner scalp
GREYHOUND’S seemingly relentless march towards another Fosters Duleek & District League Premier Division crown continued last Friday as they stormed to a big away victory over nearest challengers Mariner.
It was a good day for the teams at the bottom of the table, notably Sally Inn who enjoyed a surprise win over title contenders Carranstown.
The joint leaders in Division 1, Maguires and Grennans, both suffered their first defeats of the season and have been joined at the top by Thatch C, while bottom side Hill Bar picked up a rare win over Cottage Inn.
Division 2 pace-setters Foxs had a good week despite not playing as their nearest rivals B/W Thatch and Valley Inn both lost, the latter going down surprisingly to lowly Nolans.
In Division 3 Maguires B lost their top-of-the-table clash at Railway Bar and that leaves the Drogheda side with an almost unassailable lead.
