JULIANSTOWN TIDY TOWNS

Over the past number of years this voluntary group have transformed Julianstown Village into a very vibrant place to live. We have a beautiful award-winning village garden with seating, orchard, small woodland, pond and flower beds throughout and it is open to all to enjoy. The woods can now be easily accessed and the village is kept very clean throughout the whole year. This is all down to a dedicated bunch of volunteers and we think they are all wonderful for their passion and energy.

We are at the moment drawing up plans to rejuvenate the circular flower beds and seating area on the grassed area going up through village. These beds have been totally overrun with scutch grass and is a real nightmare to control. Our volunteers are fighting a losing battle in trying to keep the beds weed free and having that in mind we would like to surround these beds with some paving, raise up the beds and plant lots of colourful plants which will be both good for our insects and visual effect. As you know we are a voluntary group and have limited funds and we would therefore ask our residents in Julianstown to give a helping hand, by either helping with this project or donating funds towards it. If you would like to help with this worthwhile project please contact Niamh on 086 3477283 or Jackie 087 6579884.
