Man accused of drugs possession

JURISDICTI­ON has been refused in the case of a man accused of having almost €12,000-worth of drugs.

Waldemar Wieiczorek (39), The Park, Martello Village, is charged with possession and possession for sale or supply of MDA and cannabis at his address on 28 September last.

It is alleged the value of the MDA is €10,942 and the cannabis €920.

Judge Coughlan refused jurisdicti­on, and adjourned the matter to 3 May next.

Made charitable donation

Wayne Brady (45), St Finian’s Park, has had an unlawful possession of drugs charge struck out after paying €200 to charity. The offence occurred at St Finian’s Park on 30 September, 2017. Legal aid was granted.

Admitted having drugs

A charge of unlawful possession of drugs against Jeffrey Levins (36), O’Donnell Park, Clogherhea­d, has been struck out after he paid €300 to charity.

He pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred in O’Donnell Park on 7 March, 2018.

Drugs charge struck out

Darren Gregory (20), St Mary’s Heights, Donore, has had an unlawful possession of drugs charge struck out. He paid €300 to charity for the offence in Moneymore on 13 July last.
