Bygge Bo baby concept store now open in Navan

-

A BIT of Scandinavian style has arrived in Navan in the shape of Bygge Bo baby concept store, which opened its doors to the public last week.

Brainchild of local woman Amanda Cunningham-Tapsell, the store is stocking the finest quality Swedish and European items, with well-known brands such as Stokke, iCandy, Bugaboo, Uppababy, Cybex and Snuz, as well as brands such as Sebra, Cam Cam Copenhagen, Liewood, Done by Deer, and more, many of which are exclusive to Ireland.

“I saw a gap in the market for something a little different, and that’s when I began to source the products I’m stocking, which focus on sustainability and quality,” explains owner Amanda, who over the years has lived in the UK, Cyprus and most recently Dubai.

“I have selected products that stand the test of time, so as they can be reused and grow with the child, our emphasis is on quality and longevity.”

Specialising in pushchairs, car seats, nursery furniture and baby essentials across care, play and clothing, walking into the shop is not your usual experience in that it is a Scandi-style concept store – in other words there aren’t traditional displays, or rows of shelves showing products.

“It is much homelier, and it is easier to visualise our products in your home,” she adds.

“Att bygga ett bo” is a Swedish phrase which means “to build a nest”, and we aim to help and advise you along every step of this exciting time.”

And Amanda is perfectly placed to advise, with her second child just approaching her first birthday!

“I had been commuting in the corporate world, and I wanted to take a change in direction and I also wanted the challenge of running my own business but also have the flexibility to allow me to balance life as a Mum right now with the business only starting out I actually spend more hours working, but I know in the long run this will help drive Bygge Bo’s success,” says Amanda, mum to Macie (6) and Lottie (1).

“But it does mean I have hands-on experience of what the mums and dad need and am delighted to help and advise in any way I can.” In store Bygge Bo also offer a personal shopping service, providing parents with tailored advice and demonstrations on the products that suit their individual needs.

Payment installment plans can be arranged to help you break down the costs of your baby shopping. Bygge Bo is running opening offers until the 8th February across a wide range of products in-store, including a free car seat and footmuff worth 280 euro, with the purchase of their premium Cybex Platinum pushchair range, as well as some fantastic giveaways.

The online store www.byggebo.com will also launch in the coming months, where nationwide delivery will be available. For more information, follow the store on Facebook and Instagram at we.are.byggebo.
