Cllr Paddy Meade declares he is buying and eating local

NO messing with Cllr Paddy Meade when it comes to going local - and that includes his dinner!

With various reports about meat in recent weeks, he has declared his support for the business in his locality.

‘ The key point here is that Irish cattle and sheep have a grass diet which is much more environmental friendly than animals fed in sheds and feed lots on meal as is common in other countries , which means Irish meats environmental footprint the lowest of all beef exporting country’s in world,’ he remarks.

‘Another good thing for our environment is also that we shop local, thus my dinner today included potatoes from Castletown, carrots from Lobinstown and ham from Slane, most of which you can by in your local shop.’
