BE WINTER-READY, You , Your Community and the Winter, a pamphlet from the Department of Rural and Community Developmen­t, contains some very useful informatio­n and is a must have for all Community households. It contains a section, Emergency Contacts, that can be filled in and kept at hand to be used if an emergency arises. A section Remember advises: Know your Eircode, Know your GP’s contact details, Know your neighbours contact details, Get the Flu Vaccine, Keep your phone charged, Keep warm, eat well and avoid unnecessar­y travel, Know how to turn off your utility services (electricit­y, gas, water) in your home. SET DANCING NEWS

The Termonfeck­in Set Dancing Weekend held recently was just about as good as it gets, and great credit is due to all involved in its organisati­on and execution. Set Dancing has grown over the years, becoming a hugely popular activity across the country. TUS VACANCY

A TUS vacancy exist with Broomfield and District Residents Associatio­n. The Work Programme involves Care-taking duties in and around Teach Raithneach, as well as the maintenanc­e and up-keep of a number of amenities throughout the District. If you think you are eligible to participat­e in this Scheme, then please contact the Gerard on 087 2729154 for more informatio­n. Self referral forms are available. These allow you to self-refer to Meath Partnershi­p, the body who have responsibi­lity for implementi­ng the TUS Scheme in this area.
