GLEN EMMETS

GLEN Emmets meet Roche Emmets in the first round of the Kevin Mullen Shield Group B at 7pm on Saturday in Pairc de Roiste - all support welcome.

We would encourage all our members and community to get up and get walking! In conjunctio­n with RTÉ One Operation Transforma­tion, we want you to enjoy community walks in your local GAA club. These continue this Saturday at 11am and the following Saturday, so why not come out and walk?

Our walking track is just over 500m long, so walk it 10 times and you’ve done 5k! Whether there is five people or 50, just arrive and walk. A community that walks together, stays together!

Club gear is available online, including jerseys, training tops, shorts, tracksuit bottoms, half-zips, body warmers, hats, bags etc!

Numbers drawn in last week’s lotto were 4, 12, 16, 24, the lucky dip winners of €25 were Daithi Cusack, Dave Dowling, Eoin Callana and Oliver Kelly and the jackpot stands at €4,600 for the draw this Tuesday night in the Morning Star, Tullyallen.

HUNTERSTOW­N

THE men’s team get their 2019 campaign underway on Saturday 16th February at 7pm away to Mattock Rangers in the Paddy Sheelan Cup.

Lotto results from Sunday 3rd February were: 21, 11, 18 & 26. There was no jackpot winner, the 5 €20 winners were; Mary.B. Carroll, Hazel Meade, Margaret Hanratty, Paddy Mathews and James Tartan. Hunterstow­n Rovers Lotto jackpot is €10,000. Lottos can be bought from the Hunterstow­n Inn, Hunterstow­n Rovers bingo or any committee member.

THE lucky winner of our €50 euro club lottery bonus ball draw last week was Gerard Flanagan well done. Congrats and very well done to Sara Kral who managed to defeat a very strong field of contenders to win our juvenile Top Ace score competitio­n with a fantastic top score of 20 aces. Our new 40x20 juvenile training schedule wìll continue every Wednesday night at Gormanston College sports complex transport departs from the pheasant car park at 6pm Sharp. Turnout for the training last week was excellent well done everyone. The first round of our juvenile wall ball singles League tournament wìll begin next Friday night the tournament wìll run for 6 weeks and we would like to wish all juveniles the very best of luck. O’CONNELL’S

THE lotto numbers drawn on 5th February were 4, 5, 13, 30. Three match-3 winners each receive €70. The jackpot wasn’t won and rises to €2,200.

Bingo will continue in the clubrooms this Wednesday 13th February at 8.00pm, jackpot €2,000 in 48 numbers.

There will be social dancing on Saturday 16th February in the clubrooms from 9pm, music by Declan Aungier, admission €10 and refreshmen­ts will be served.

OLIVER PLUNKETTS

OUR u-13s are having a great time of late in the cross-county Leinster football league. Last Saturday they travelled to Roundwood in Wickow and are looking forward to other trips in the coming weeks.

There is good interest in our Art competitio­n so get your effort to Jeff as soon as possible.

Our Open Day for renewal of membership and welcoming new members, will be decided this week when both the minor and senior committees come together.

Our first outing at adult level sees local clubs Newtown Blues and ourselves face each other next Saturday in the pre-league competitio­n. Throw in is at 7pm in the Blues grounds.

The Lotto jackpot was not won when the numbers drawn were 7, 16, 17 and 23. The five €20 quick-pick winners were Gerry Duffy, Miriam Howard, Betty Zoe Simon and Mia, Jason Reilly and Enda White.

O RAGHALLAIG­H’S

The club’s annual Mass of Remembranc­e will take place in the clubhouse on Friday 15th March, at 8.00pm.

ADULT training continues this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 in Aura gym, and on Sunday we play our local rivals the Wolfe Tones in Pentony Park.

There was a super turnout from our U-10s last Saturday in Drogheda Leisure Park for the OgSport blitz. We are going again this Saturday and for the next six weeks.

Our facilities are now nearing full completion and we as a club would like to provide a positive and beneficial resource for the young and old alike in the Reaghstown Community and surroundin­g area. WOLFE TONES

THE three €20 winners in last Thursday’s lotto, which was for a jackpot of €3,350, were Val Murphy, Karen Kelly and Barry McQuillan.

The club would like to thank the members who organised and attended the annual Table Quiz last Friday. The Topshop was packed to the rafters and many a brain-scratching question was asked on the night.
