CARMEL CLINTON R.I.P

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Clinton Family of Woodgrange Painstown,

Drogheda on the death of Carmel who passed away in the Beacon Hospital, Dublin on January 26th. Carmel is survived by her heartbroke­n husband Brendan and off-springs Paul, Anne, David, Helen, Michael and Niall, and also daughters in law,

Jocelyn, Kalo -Lour and Faith, sons in law Hari and Ronan, and brothers Hugh, Padraig and Antoin. Carmel was predecease­d by her brother Fr Gerry. She is also survived by her sisters Mary and Ethna, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Say a little prayer for her aching family that it may lessen the ache in their hearts. May Carmel’s soul rest in peace.

HOSPICE PANCAKE MORNING

The East Meath hospice associatio­n are holding their pancake morning at the City North hotel on March 5th (Tues) 2019 from 10 am to 12.30 pm. All the usual stalls will be there. Designer clothes and accessorie­s, home baking, plants and vegetables, bric-a-brac, unwanted gifts. There will also be a raffle. JULIANSTOW­N TIDY TOWNS

Over the past number of years this voluntary group have transforme­d Julianstow­n Village into a very vibrant place to live. We have a beautiful award-winning village garden with seating, orchard, small woodland, pond and flower beds throughout and it is open to all to enjoy. The woods can now be easily accessed and the village is kept very clean throughout the whole year. As you know we are a voluntary group and have limited funds and we would therefore ask our residents in Julianstow­n to give a helping hand, by either helping with this project or donating funds towards it. The A.G.M was held on January 16th last with a good attendance. The committee thanked Niall Roche on his retirement from the Club and for all his dedicated work throughout the years and wished him all the best in the future.
