The children receive a jersey and training top and a backpack. The camps are structured so that a different aspect of the game is worked on each day, the programme involves coaching specific skills and is a great opportunity for the children to put into practice what they have learned through small sided games. During the camp week a ‘blitz’ is organized to provide each child with introduction to competitive games. If you are interested in your child attending go onto the website www.kelloggsculcamps. to try and secure your place this year. This camp is always fantastically run and the cost is €60 for 1 child, €55 for the 2nd child, €45 for the 3rd and subsequent children. And if your child wants to attend another camp they can register for €45 without the gear that they get in their first camp.

MISSING KERBS/ BROKEN TREES

It was noticed that some kerb stones had been removed from a green area located at the junction at the top of the hill in the village. Somebody with obviously nothing better to do decided to remove them under cover of darkness.

It didn’t stop there as two trees recently planted were also cut down on the green area close to the roundabout at the end of the Big Street. Why? Who did this?

The Termonfeckin and District Community Group has worked extremely hard to prepare the village for the Tidy Towns competition and have planted trees and beautiful flowers to enhance the village further. The group is absolutely outraged over this mindless vandalism which is described as deliberate. This work comes at a cost, some of which can be covered by grants available under different schemes.

The kerbs have since been replaced. Whoever you are, you should be ashamed of your actions.

TERMONFECKIN & DISTRICT COMMUNITY GROUP.

Would you like to be a volunteer with the Termonfeckin & District Community Group. The Group is continuing its village tidy-up for Spring 2019. It is intended to put up hanging baskets and planters around the village like in 2018 but with more additions and there are also plans to tidy up green areas and do more planting in these areas too.

The Group hopes that village residents and businesses will consider donating to help with this tidy up. Any volunteers who could help with tidying, planting, watering etc would be greatly appreciated as it would help ensure that Termonfeckin looks its best for 2019”.

If you are interested, please contact Owen Kirwan at 0862605026 or Maria Patterson at 086-6021280 or accounts@ barnhill.ie.
