St Vincent’s in the Junior shake-up again

-

LAST year’s runners-up St Vincent’s set up a JFC last-eight clash with Ballivor following this preliminary quarter-final win at Duleek on Sunday.

The Ardcath side struck for their opening goal early in the second quarter to build up a 1-2 to 0-1 advantage. However Seneschalstown responded and boosted by a goal they edged 1-4 to 1-3 clear.

The lead changed hands again before the break and at half-time the sides were level at 1-5 each.

St Vincent’s took control of proceedings immediately after half-time and they hit five successive points to lead by five - 1-10 to 1-5 - at the three quarter-way stage.

The half was 17 minutes old before Seneschalstown added to their tally and at that stage St Vincent’s had added a second goal to extend their lead to eight points.
