Public asked to attend policing meetings next week
THE County Louth Joint Policing Committee has convened a number of statutory public meetings for next week.
The Drogheda Joint Policing Committee is hosting a statutory Public Meeting on Monday 25th November 2019 at 8.00 pm in the West Court Hotel, Drogheda.
The Dundalk Public Meeting is on Tuesday 26th November 2019 at 7.30pm in Blackrock Community Centre, Blackrock
The Ardee Meeting is on
Thursday 28th November
2019 at 7.30pm in Ardee Parochial Centre, Hale Street,
Ardee.
The theme of the public meetings will be ‘ How to assist families dealing with
Drug Related Intimidation” and the format of the meeting is as follows: A presentation from Inspector Ronan Carey responding to the needs of drug users and family members experiencing drug related intimidation and will cover the following areas:
Confidentiality
Provide practical safety information
Provide advice in relation to particular threats or instances of intimidation.
Provide information on appropriate drug support services for the individual in the family who is accruing drug debts.
Outline how to make a formal complaint, what is involved, what happens after and possible outcomes. Members of the public are welcome to attend this public meeting.
Members of the public have the right to make their views known and ask questions. Senior members of An Garda Síochána will be present on the evening to answer questions. To facilitate the preparation of a full response to questions raised by members of the public, all questions are to be submitted in advance of the public meetings.
Questions can be taken at the meetings but full information may not be available.
