All roads lead to Drogheda Christmas Festival

-

DROGHEDA’S first Christmas Festival on 6th, 7th and 8th December sounds like an event not to be missed!

The family friendly event will see some of Drogheda’s biggest attractions transformed into a winter wonderland. Mr and Mrs Claus will welcome visitors on West Street, the town’s Main Street, which will be partly pedestianised for the three day festival. Over 50 festive market stalls featuring high quality festive crafts and foods will line the street and the famous spire of St. Peter’s Church, will host wonderful festive illuminations.

A stroll down to the Riverfront will take you to the Christmas Festival Village along the promenade at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre and the d hotel, the main sponsors of this year’s event. Here you will be met with the most beautiful Vintage Christmas Carousel, more festive craft market stalls, an array of hot food offerings from the d hotel and the aromas of Mulled Wine will entice you to pause at the Christmas Bar.

Visitors can munch on candy floss or popcorn whilst enjoying Christmas movies, which will be shown once a day on the big screen at the Festival stage, where throughout the three days we will also be entertained by bands, musicians and local choirs. The event provides an opportunity to shop local, meet makers and crafters and purchase unique artisan and specially curated items.

‘A tremendous amount of work from a very small team of volunteers has created, planned, promoted and raised the finances for this great event for Drogheda and the surrounding North East areas.

Friday 6th December 12 – 9PM, Saturday 7th December 11AM and 8PM and Sunday 8th December 11AM – 8PM.
