Treat yourself to Sound Bath at Sonairte

-

As the frenetic festive season approaches why not take some time to slow down, relax and reflect witha Sound Bath at Sonairte.

Anam Cara Therapy: Holistic Psychotherapist and Sound Healer will host a Sound Bath at The Yoga Room, Sonairte in Layon on Sunday, December 1st from 7pm to 8.30pm.

A sound bath means you will be immersed in sound waves, not water.

Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, one or two small pillows, a blanket, an eye mask and warm socks. Body temperature lowers as people relax deeply into alpha-theta –delta brainwave meditation.

The Crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls open the meditation, energizing the chakras to balance and heal and promoting optimal health and well-being.

The Shamanic Drum and Gong, played at the end of the meditation, produce the primordial sound harmonics at the frequency of ‘AUM’ or ‘OM’: an extremely powerful and healing sound which works on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Sound Healing Meditation

is an effective and proven modality that uses sound vibrations to help reduce stress and relieve pain, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and relaxation. Sound has also been shown to be a positive part of the healing process for people with depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

However, there are some exceptions and those with a heart murmur, deep vein thrombosis, Ménière’s disease, tinnitus, sound-induced epilepsy, or in the first trimester of pregnancy should refrain from participating in a sound bath .

After the session, participants may experience improved memory, clarity, vitality and the ability to take action. Meditation starts at 5 minutes after the start time and doors are locked out of respect for those present. Arrive 5-10 minutes early, relax and take it easy going home after. Experience the Harmony, Frequency, Vibration, and Resonance of Sound Therapy. Em Ryan of Anam Cara Therapy is a Holistic Psychotherapist and Shamanic Sound Healer. Message, text or call Em on 083 859 9551 to check availability.
