Hairspray to delight!
IT’S 1962 in Baltimore, USA and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire - to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show.
When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network, all without denting her ’do!
It’s that time of the year, folks, when once again Sacred Heart students take to the stage to put on their annual musical.
This year is slightly different because instead of just 5th years doing the musical they have TY students, too, and also a change in venue as they have moved to the Barbican Centre.
This year over 170 students will take to the stage on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th of November at 7.30pm in the Barbican Centre. Tickets are €15 and available from the barbican and the school.
It’s a huge cast and each and everyone of them are giving it their all. From the lead roles to back stage to promotions etc all these girls are simply amazing,
The show is produced and directed by the brilliant Tracey Martin, musical director is the fantastic Linda Collins and the choreographer is Gillian Donaghey.
Stage design is by Eoghan Darcy and Sharon Stafford.
