NEW YEAR PROSPECTS
A number of agencies have expressed a willingness to come to Teach Raithneach in the New Year to make presentations on the services that they provide.
Among the topics to be covered include, Scams and Illegal Activity around money, and advice from the Citizens Information Services. It’s important that if the Association is to accommodate events such as these, then a good attendance will be necessary.
The free Irish Heart Foundation Course, free Hands for Life CPR Programme if it is to happen, will also require a significant number of households in the District to participate. This course will also take place in the New Year, if there is enough support for it.
SOCIAL DANCE
Broomfield & District Residents Association hosts a Social Dance in Teach Raithneach on Friday 22nd November 2019 from 9 pm ‘til late. Well known Pat Mulcrone will provide the music. Light refreshments served, with Admission at €10.
YOGA CLASS

Come along and support these people who plunge into the water in aid of “Special Olympics”.

Sincere thanks to all who turned up to the Annual Lifeboat Coffee Morning on Saturday last in Drogheda. Special thanks to management and staff of St. Peter’s Parochial Hall Peter Street for all their help during the morning especially all who manned the stalls. Your help was invaluable.

The latest craze at the All Weather Pitch in Clogherhead is to hire it out by the hour for your child and their friends to play football.
It costs only €20 for 1 hour and after the hour you can continue the party there on the pitch or go to the Community Hall where they can run around having great fun in secure, friendly and safe surroundings for only €30 per hour. And then they just flake out with tiredness, happy but tired.

Clonalvy Revival Committee and Ardcath/Clonalvy Heritage are holding a €25 Christmas Poker Classic on Thursday 28th November at 8pm in Donnelly’s Lounge.
ARDCATH ICA
There was a full attendance at the annual general meeting of the Guild last Wednesday night.
Outgoing President Joan Caffrey thanked the officers and members for their great support during her year of office. She welcomed the new President, Nuala Carberry, and wished her a happy year.
Martina Lenehan continues as Secretary as does Ann Whyte who retains the Treasurer’s job.
Ann Whyte gave a wonderful demo of Christmas treats; a chocolate biscuit pudding, cupcakes and lots more that were much enjoyed by the members afterwards.
The next workshop is on 3rd December when the members will learn how to make a Christmas wreath and centre-piece for the table.
The competition on the night was won by Ann Sheridan; 2nd Ann Whyte and 3rd were Kathleen Vickers and Mary White.
The members are going to Áras an Uachtaráin this week and are looking forward to the visit. They also hope to travel to the Arts & Craft Fair in the RDS Dublin between 4th and 8th December.
