Farmers or individuals seeking planning permission in the Monasterboice, Tullyallen and Battle of the Boyne areas should take special note of the public consultation process that is currently underway by Louth Co. Council for the next release of the plan effective from 2021 to 2027.

You may not be aware that a new Zone 6 was introduced in the 2015-2021 plan, which places severe restrictions on planning in these areas. Any individual, farmer or business can make a submission to this phase of the plan but the deadline is 4.30pm on Tuesday 26th November 2019. These can be sent by post to Frank Pentony, Development Plan Review Forward Planning Unit, Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 W20C or by email to louthcdp@louthcoco. The subject line should read: Development Plan Review.

Also a local ‘REWRITE ZONE 6’ group has recently been formed and will hold a public meeting in Glen Emmets GAA Club in Tullyallen on this evening, Tuesday November 19th at 7.30pm, if you would like to learn more.
