Cinderella shall go to the ball in the TLT panto!

-

FROM the team that brought you Oliver earlier this year, the TLT will kick off the panto season in style with 13 shows from December 18th to January 5th, with their spectacular production of Cinderella.

This is the second year for this crew and if last year’s production is anything to go by, it will be a great success.

“We have a great cast this year, with the title role of Cinderella being played by Beth Murtagh, and the Sean Loughrey and Shay Carry are hilarious as the Ugly Sisters~, explains Stage Manager, Aoife Mc Groggan. “Buttons will be played by Charlie Cullen, Conor Whearty is back again as Prince Barry, and of course we have a Fairy Godmother played by Laura Monk and a Wicked Stepmother played by Susan Savage.”

The TLT assumes huge credit for discovering the burgeoning talent in recent years which the town and surrounding area’s now boast since the theatre was built; outlining the success of such ventures as “School Stars” which has seen many young performers emerge from this initiative which is produced by TLT manager, Patrick Leddy, who puts in an enormous amount of work to these talent shows every year.

Patrick is very much a “behind the scenes” operator but, nevertheless, is steeped in the tradition of showbusiness and has been a panto expert himself since he was a teenager.

This year he will be joined by Sarah Louisa Nolan as Director, Annaleigh Meegan as Choreographer, and Lighting Design/Videography by Gary Jokstas.

Tickets priced €13 are available off the website www.tlt.ie and the shows start at various times. Some of the show are already sold out ( Wednesday 18th at 11am, Friday 20th at 7.30pm and Sunday 22nd at 1pm) so hurry and don’t miss out on this fantastic way to start celebrate Christmas.
