ST. FECHIN’S.
St Fechin’s held their AGM on Monday December 2nd and the following officers were elected. Chairman - John McEvoy, Vice Chairman - John McGlew, Secretary - TBC, Asst Secretary - Máire Devine, Treasurer - Mary Briscoe, PRO - Michelle Mooney, Registrar - Dorothy McCullough, Irish Officer - Donal Lynch, Player Rep Football-David Collier, Player Rep Hurling - Brian Stephenson, Player Rep Ladies - Hazel Haughney. Honorary Presidents are: Mal McEnteggart, Paddy McGlew, John Savage, Michael Mooney and Helena Kirwan.
ST. FECHIN’S LOTTO.
The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 20 and 23. There was no winner of the jackpot. The €100 winner was Eileen Feehan. Winners of €20 were Pearse Mc Nally, Trisha Duffy, Colm O’Neill, Geraldine Shevlin and John Leech. The jackpot is now at €7,800 and is sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeckin.
CHRISTMAS.
It’s beginning to look like Christmas. Yes, Christmas Trees are now standing tall and well illuminated in Termonfeckin, Sandpit and Baltray. Several houses are also getting into the spirit of Christmas with some fantastic lighting displays.
CHRISTMAS CARDS.
The Parish Christmas Cards and Advent Books are now on sale at the weekend Masses in both Parish Churches. A pack of 6 cards costs €5.
This has proved to be a very successful venture by the Parish Pastoral Council in spreading the joy of Christmas and its true meaning to family and friends wherever they may be.
TERMONFECKIN CELTIC.
Look out for a large number of Santa’s running around Termonfeckin next weekend. The annual Termonfeckin Celtic 5k Santa Run takes place on December 14th beginning at Flynn’s Pub at 11am and finishing at An-Grianan where refreshments will be served.
Santa himself will make an appearance for the children. There is also a Raffle with top prizes of €750, an iPad, €250 and other great prizes.
MACRA NA FEIRME.
Termonfeckin Macra held its Club Christmas night out recently in Drogheda and everyone had a great night.
The men’s Indoor Soccer team also competed in the National finals in Dublin recently. The lads performed well but didn’t progress past the group stage after two narrow defeats but had a great day nonetheless.
The next monthly meeting takes place in Keogh’s Pub, at 9pm on Wednesday December 11th. New members most welcome as always.

Results of Week 9 of the Turkey Competition, which was an 18 Nett held from Friday November 29th to Sunday December 1st. Senior-1st: Gerry Breen Jnr. 46, 2nd: Pat Fanning 48. Whiskey Winner: Darren Fagan 42. InterBrian Fitzpatrick 43, 2nd: Declan Murphy 44 (ob9 21). Junior-1st: Ray Sheehan 40, 2nd: Pat Curran 42 (ob9 21). Ladies-1st: Mary Coyle 44, 2nd: Valerie Barron 47. Whiskey Winner: Jan Mooney 43.

TENNIS CLUB.
Termonfeckin Tennis Club Adult Social Tennis and Turkey League takes place every Tuesday night at 7.30pm.
The Turkey League will run until Christmas. All Adult members are welcome to come along and take part.

SET DANCING.
Set Dancing continues in Sandpit Hall on Thursday nights. All are welcome.
CHRISTMAS MASSES.
The Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve is at 7.30pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Termonfeckin and at 10pm in the Church of the Assumption, Sandpit.
On Christmas Day, Masses are at 9am in the Church of the Assumption and at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
ADVENT SERVICE.
There will be an Advent Service in the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Sunday December 22nd at 5pm. All are welcome.
ADORATION.
Eucharistic Adoration is on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.
