*Spot a potential SCAM and report it

*Avoid becoming a target for SCAMMERS

NATIONAL VOLUNTEERING STRATEGY

The Draft National Volunteering

Strategy 2020-2025 is now available for perusal, with feedback required by the end of January. As a General Election is taking place shortly, this deadline needs to be extended to allow all Voluntary Community Organisations an opportunity to run the rule over this Draft and respond to it, as they will principally be the ones expected to comply with it. All Voluntary Community Groups should be given a copy of this Draft on request, and the opportunity to do so should be widely advertised. This matter is far too serious to ignore at this time, as the future of Volunteering, Community Volunteers, and Voluntary Community Organisations will be influenced by this strategy.

CREDIT AND THANKS TO ALL

Louth and Leinster Football Champions in the Intermediate Grade, Mattock Rangers run in the All Ireland series came to an end following their Semi-final encounter with Monaghan and Ulster Champions Magheracloone Mitchells at St. Oliver Plunkett Park, Crossmaglen on Saturday 11th January last. The Ulster Champions proved that bit too strong for a gallant Mattock side, who can only be extremely proud of their achievements over the past year. There was a great attendance from both sides for this inclement time of year, and they showed their appreciation for the efforts of both sides. Great credit is due to all involved, and especially to the Crossmaglen Rangers Club who ran a great show on the day, as always.
