ST BRIDES ST KEVINS 1-17 1-8

ST Brides made it two wins from two in Group F of the Paddy Sheelan Cup when they defeated St Kevins at Philipstown on Sunday morning.

After defeating Dreadnots in midweek the Knockbridge went into this game in confident mood and were on top for much of the hour before emerging with a deserved victory.

Sean Marry, Kevin Hearty and Neil Thornton were among the scorers as the visitors took a grip on the game in the first half, and although the Kevins replied through Cian Callan, Shane Meade and James Harper it was the Brides who went in at the break with a healthy 0-10 to 0-4 advantage.

The second half saw the teams more evenly matched but the Brides never looked like letting this game slip from their grasp. Neil Thornton grabbed the goal for the Brides and although Cian Callan also hit the net for the Kevins it was the visitors who held out for a comfortable win.
