Moore the merrier as Raghs top the group

-

The O’Mahonys had barely got over that setback when the visitors scored a third goal with Eoin Moore showing all of his predatory instincts to slam home the ball after Kevin Brennan had saved his initial shot. That storming end to the half saw O Raghallaighs go in at the break with a useful looking 3-5 to 0-6 lead.

The Point Road side threatened to get back into the game after a bright start to the second half which saw them score three unanswered points with Ben McLoughlin’s excellent score the pick of the bunch. However just as it seemed the home side were getting on top the visitors stopped them dead in their tracks with a killer fourth goal from Ben Smyth. That goal sealed the home side’s fate as the Drogheda men comfortably saw out the remainder of the game to claim the victory.
