POTHOLE.

Great to see that the terrible pothole at the bridge in Termonfeck­in has been filled in. It was extremely deep and impossible to avoid particular­ly when traffic was negotiatin­g the bridge from both directions. It had the potential to cause damage to vehicles or indeed an accident.

ST. FECHIN’S LOTTO.

The numbers drawn were 8, 9, 14 and 18. The jackpot of €1,600 was not won. The €100 winner was Thomas Sheridan. Winners of €20 were Bronwyn Kirwan, Tom Flynn, Darren O’ Neill, Michael Holcroft and Michelle Mooney. The jackpot this week is €1,700 and is kindly sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeck­in.

ST. FECHIN’S ASTRO PITCH.

The Astro Pitch at Pairc Naomh Feichin is available to hire. The pitch is floodlit, has plenty of car parking and those using it can also avail of Hot Showers afterwards. The Astro Pitch can also be hired for Children’s Parties. This includes the use of the meeting room for food. All for €40 an hour. To book, contact Mary on 086-0802367.

PAUL DURNIN RIP.

Much sadness and shock has been expressed at the death of Paul Durnin, Cartown. We offer our deepest sympathy to his family, relations and friends. Requiem Mass was offered in Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Funeral in Newtown Crosslawn Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

MACRA NA FEIRME.

Congratula­tions to the Men and Women Basketball teams who were successful in the recent County round and will go forward to represent Louth in the National finals on March 8th. Best of luck to all.

TERMONFECK­IN CELTIC FC.

Termonfeck­in Celtic F.C. is entering teams in the 2020 Louth School Girls League. Girls are wanted for U10 and U12 teams. This is open to Girls born before 2013. All coaches are fully qualified and Garda vetted. Contact Termonfeck­inFC@gmail.com

Set Dancing takes place in Sandpit Hall this Thursday night at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

Eucharisti­c Adoration is on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.

ST. COLMCILLE’S PASTORAL AREA.

Five Lenten talks have been organised for our Pastoral Area on each Monday during March. They will take place in Termonfeck­in Credit Union Offices, Big Street, A92 ET99. Attendees are invited to gather at 7.45pm for a greeting cup of tea/coffee with the talk starting at 8pm and finishing at 9.15pm. The Schedule of Talks is as follows: March 2ndListeni­ng for God’s Voice in the Old Testament. March 9th-Christian Art and Scripture. March 16th-Women in the Bible. March 23rd-Reflection on Pilgrimage­s. March 30th-Topic to be decided. All are welcome.
