ST. Brigid’s Drama Group members are in “all systems go” mode in this the final week of rehearsals for their forthcoming production, “The Hag” written and directed by group member Fintan (Ogie) Harmon.

‘ The Hag’ is a two- act comedy and will be performed in the Droichead Arts Centre for five nights, Tues - Sat, March 10th - 14th.

The St. Brigid’s members are quite excited about the prospect of bringing this original “inhouse” presentation to fruition for it’s premiere run in the Droichead Arts Centre.

Rehearsals have been ongoing since early January.

The plot centres around a couple’s hen and stag party taking place on the same weekend at different venues. Events overtake the plans and the separate parties are thrown together, leading to an array of complicated, unexpected twists and turns that throw all earlier anticipations out of whack.

The cast includes Donal Mullen, Darren Behan, Robert Mulroy, Sean Mc Carthy, Karl Flood, Chris Menary. Ailbhe Kennedy, Eliza Matthews, Hannah Clayton, Maire Devine, Mary Clayton and Martina Reddan.

The production team also includes Anne Boland , Deirdre Kennedy, Sarah Mac Ardle, Kay Mc Ginty, Nuala Clayton, Brenda Gillespie, Robin Barnes, John Clayton, Shane Mc Enany, John Mc Govern, John Kelly, Des Mc Ginty and,Ambrose Mc Ginnity.
