PARISH NEWS

First Friday March 6th, the housebound and sick will be visited. On Thursday 5th and Friday 6th of March adoration is at 7pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm for the List of the Dead on Friday 6th of March.

On March 9th, Mellifont Parish Church in Tullyallen village is hosting an open evening to reflect on where we as a parish community and where might like to go in terms of future plans and possibilities. It is an opportunity for all of us to come together and explore ideas for the future of our parish. We are looking for you to get involved in whatever gift or talent you might have, from making a cup of tea for visitors, to assisting in liturgy and faith development; from meeting with young mothers to welcoming new people to the parish, we want to hear your voice. This meeting will take place in the Parish Hall, Tullyallen, Monday March 9th at 8pm.

We keep the girls and boys of 2nd class in our prayers as they prepare for the Sacrament of Penance on Tuesday 10th of March at 7.30pm. The next Confirming our Children Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 7th of March at 7.30pm.

Lenten Masses each weekday at 7.30pm. Adoration each Friday at 7pm. This is an opportunity for you to rekindle your friendship with the Lord this Lent.

We are encouraging the congregation to participate in singing of hymns during the Sundays of Lent. Please feel free to add to our Lenten worship with your singing voice. There will be hymn sheets available and we look forward to you in helping us create our spirit filled worship this Lent!

We invite you to pray both prayers: Our Pastoral Area Prayer for Drogheda and our Parish Prayer for reflection for our parish and for our diocese. These prayers can be found both on our Parish Facebook page and in our Parish bulletin.

Trócaire Lenten campaign has begun and this year highlights the different ways in which mothers are protecting their families from the effects of climate change and from the actions of corporations. Your support is gratefully appreciated.
