Newappisaclean ‘Sweep’intheonline carmarkettrade

-

A new app called Sweep has just been launched and is hoping to make its mark in the online car sales space.

The company behind the new product say it focused on the consumer experience.

The app, which was launched last December, has already had over 1 million swipes since it went live.

The company was founded by three Irish friends who love cars but hate the time-consuming, dull and monotonous experience of buying and selling them online.

The group took inspiration with what has been successful in the dating industry over the last number of years to provide potential car buyers with a new platform to buy and sell cars.

Once you sign up to the app you will see cars from over 400 Irish dealers and you can filter your search as you would on any car classified site depending on what you want.

You then look through them and you see one car at a time. The image is front and centre as well as some important high level points about the car (dealer, location, price, mileage, year, transmission, engine size).

If you like the look of the car you swipe right and it gets added to your favourites. Here you can then see more detailed information about the car, call or message the dealer. The message centre is very similar to a Facebook style messenger, which is warmer than sending emails back and forth. If you don’t like the look of the car, swipe left on it and you won’t see it again. It takes the hassle out of searching for a car and seeing the same ones you didn’t like yesterday or last week popping up everytime you search. is heavily
