Gardai there to help everyone

GARDAÍ throughout the Louth Garda Division have told the local communitie­s that during these challengin­g times, they are continuing to provide a fully resourced Police service working on a 24 hour service.

‘If you have any concerns for yourself, or a family member, neighbour or a vulnerable person, please do not hesitate to make contact with us in order to obtain assistance.

‘We are providing assistance to the most vulnerable in ensuring that they can obtain essential goods from local shops.

‘If possible, make contact by telephone, in order to adhere to social distancing, but if you need to call to a Garda Station, please do.

‘Please make contact on the following telephone numbers for assistance; Drogheda 0419874200, Dundalk 0429388400, Ardee 0416853222,’ Chief Supt Christy Mangan stated.

‘An Garda Síochána in Louth is here to Serve you.’

The Gardai have launched Community Engagement Operation Chara – and already gardai have visited a number of homes to help people.

Pictured left is Garda Keenan McGavisk, Ardee Garda Station delivering care packs to members of the community who were unable to attend the Day Care Centre, Ardee as usual.

The care packs were provided by Lunney’s Supervalu, Ardee.

‘Louth Gardai have restructur­ed the deployment of our Community Policing Resources so we have the personnel available to respond to whatever the community needs. If you need assistance, remember An Garda Síochána is here to help,’ they added.
