GENTLEMAN JIM

So sad to hear that Jim McCullen from Gormanston has died. Jim was Deputy Editor of the Drogheda Independent and a lovely man; intelligent, inclusive, amusing, great sense of humour and great company on a night out, always had a story to tell and drew people to him like honey to the bees. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends. Rest in peace Jim. You were one of a kind.

NO MASSES

All public Masses have been suspended until further notice. Bishop Tom reminds us that, while Masses are suspended, the voice of prayer should not be silent. Fr. Denis and Fr. Joseph will continue to offer Masses but they will be in private.

Parishioners are also asked to join in prayer at this time of worry and concern. Some prayer resources and links to Daily Mass readings will be posted on the Parish Website over the coming days.

ALONE HELPLINE

ALONE has launched a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.
